About Bailey

Hihihi! Hello! I'm Bailey! As a freshman last year at KIPP San Jose Collegiate I was very nervous about being in a new environment and making new friends, especially friends who were upperclassmen. To help conquer my fears I involved myself in sports and clubs. Sports allowed me to grow very close with upper and underclassmen as teammates and my club allowed me to learn leadership skills and discover different communities inside our school. All in all, becoming more comfortable in my own skin, making connections, and growing as a student and leader.

Some of my hobbies outside of school include playing video games Valorant, Minecraft, Fortnite, and any PC game in general, and sports! I love anything to do with being active. Whether it’s running or playing volleyball, basketball, and yes football I enjoy it all! At school I like to be involved in clubs that keep me social and allow me to meet new people. Some clubs I’m in would be wolfprints (our school newspaper) and LDC ( Lion Dance Club). I love that school allows me to explore different communities and learn new skills. Other than that I love to spend time with my friends and family and eat at new restaurants to try different foods from other cultures!

I am always interested in learning and experiencing new things. Whether it is exploring a new hobby, attending school events, or spending time with my loved ones, I enjoy staying active and involved with honestly anything. I like working with others because it helps me hear different perspectives and build strong relationships. I also enjoy listening to music, binge watching dramas, movies, and animes, and keeping up with trends online. One thing that motivated me is the opportunity to grow and improve in things I care about. I believe that being open to new experiences helps me become a more well rounded individual and allows me to make meaningful memories with the people in my community.

I also enjoy challenging myself and stepping outside of my comfort zone. Throughout my freshmen year, I have learned that some of the best experiences come from trying something new, even if it seems intimidating at first. I enjoy attending school events, supporting my friends, and participating in activities that bring people together. I also like spending time outdoors, touching grass, exploring different places, and making memories with my people. Even if it's just playing games, participating in sports, working with a club, or simply hanging out with friends, I try to make the most of every opportunity and moment, I love living in the moment. I value kindness, teamwork, and having a positive mindset, and I always look for ways to continue growing as a student, friend, and member of the community.
